  1. Laurier Avenue West, between Nicholas and Elgin streets, will be inaccessible from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  2. From noon to 4 p.m., Elgin Street (between Slater and McLeod streets), Gladstone Avenue (between Cartier and Kent streets), and Kent Street (between McLeod and Albert streets) will be temporarily closed.
  3. Laurier Avenue West, stretching from Lyon Street South to O’Connor Street, will be closed from 3 to 5 p.m.

In addition, several streets are set to be closed until midnight on Monday, Aug. 28, including:

  1. Bank Street, between Slater and Florence streets.
  2. Somerset Street, spanning from O’Connor to Bank streets.
  3. Gloucester Street, between Bank and O’Connor streets.

The Capital Pride Parade promises to be a highlight, with more than 200 groups and over 10,000 marchers expected to participate. The parade route starts at Elgin Street and Laurier Street, heading south before turning right onto Gladstone Avenue. From there, it proceeds north along Kent Street, concluding at Laurier Street.

Amidst the parade’s jubilant atmosphere, several stages are scattered throughout the downtown core, offering various events to enjoy. Festival stalls line Bank Street, adding to the festive spirit of the celebration.”
