Royal Surprise: Paul Gascoigne Unbelievable Kiss with Prince William at Pret a Mange

Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne had an unexpected encounter with Prince Charles while dining at a Pret a Manger restaurant in Bournemouth. The royal was there to promote his homelessness campaign, Homewards.

During the visit, Prince William shook hands with Gascoigne, who has faced mental health and addiction challenges, and inquired about his well-being. Gascoigne, who resides in nearby Sandbanks, expressed that he was “a lot better” and even shared a warm embrace with the prince, planting a kiss on his cheek.

Prince William’s visit to the restaurant aimed to learn more about Pret a Manger’s commitment to expanding its longstanding Rising Stars program. This program assists in breaking the cycle of homelessness by providing support, training, and employment. Over the next five years, the program is set to expand by 40%, helping at least 500 individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness find jobs at Pret’s UK locations.

After the visit, Prince William described it as a “very interesting morning.” He also visited AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium to learn about the club’s community efforts to support those at risk of homelessness and their commitment to expanding projects as part of the Homewards campaign.

Homewards, launched in June, aims to demonstrate that homelessness can be ended by making it rare, brief, and non-recurring. Bournemouth is one of the six flagship locations for the Homewards initiative, and Prince William met with local and national businesses that pledged their support.

The five-year, locally led Homewards program, created by the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales, takes a transformative approach to homelessness. It provides flagship locations with resources, tools, and relationships to collectively address and prevent homelessness in their areas.
