Mitchel Musso, a former cast member of the popular Disney Channel show “Hannah Montana,” found himself in legal trouble over the weekend. The 32-year-old actor, known for his role as Oliver Oken, was apprehended by Rockwall, Texas police on charges of public intoxication and theft following a reported incident at a local hotel.

The Rockwall Police Department received a call about a disturbance at the hotel, where Musso was said to have entered the premises appearing to be under the influence. Allegedly, he took a bag of chips from the hotel without making a payment. When confronted about the unpaid item, Musso reportedly responded with verbal aggression and left without settling the bill.

Law enforcement officials identified Musso outside the hotel, where his signs of intoxication were evident. Consequently, he was arrested on two counts: public intoxication and theft under $100. Additionally, a background check revealed that Musso had multiple outstanding traffic warrants.

After being taken into custody, Musso was transferred to the Rockwall County Detention Center, spending a night in jail. He was released on Sunday afternoon after posting a $1,000 bond. USA TODAY has contacted Musso’s representatives for any potential comments on the situation.
