Usher, the Grammy-winning artist, is set to headline the halftime show at Super Bowl LVIII, which will take place at Las Vegas’s Allegiant Stadium. This exciting announcement came through a joint statement from Roc Nation and the NFL, with the halftime show being presented by Apple Music.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Usher stated, “It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list. I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Usher has been captivating audiences with his extensive catalog of R&B hits during his Las Vegas concert series, “Usher – My Way The Residency.” Since his debut album “Usher” in 1994, he has achieved remarkable success, selling over 80 million records worldwide and securing eight Grammy Awards. Some of his biggest hits include songs like “U Got It Bad,” “U Don’t Have to Call,” and “Nice & Slow.”

Jay-Z, in praise of Usher’s talent, remarked, “Usher is the ultimate artist and showman. Ever since his debut at the age of 15, he’s been charting his own unique course. Beyond his flawless singing and exceptional choreography, Usher bares his soul. His remarkable journey has propelled him to one of the grandest stages in the world. I can’t wait to see the magic.”

While Usher had previously made a guest appearance during the 2011 Super Bowl halftime show with the Black Eyed Peas, this upcoming performance in 2024 will mark his first time headlining the prestigious event.

The anticipation for this Super Bowl halftime show is high, following the record-breaking performance by Rihanna in 2023 and the star-studded lineup of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar at Super Bowl LVI in 2022. CBS will broadcast the Super Bowl on February 11, 2024.
